E2 question - is mine too high?

Hi ladies!

sorry for all the questions!

Today i had my blood work and sono - after two days on 450 iu of follistim, my E2 level was 270

my doctor said that was a bit high so she cut my follistim in HALF - i am now on 225iu of Follistim and go back for more blood work on Tuesday

Should i be concerned about the high E2 level? is it too high for only the second day? I am SO SCARED of hyper stimming i cannot stop thinking about it!

this cycle my e2 was over 300 with 2 mature follies. my RE said its about 150-200 per mature follie.
i think it depends how mature your follies are at this point.

but since you are doing IVF i wouldnt be as concerned about hyperstimming. last cycle when i hyperstimmed, my RE said it would have been perfect if i were doing IVF since I had over 10+ maturing follies. so even though I did develop OHSS - it still would have been a great result for an IVF cycle (not sure how that effects transfers though). because in IVF they want as many mature eggs as possible - i wouldnt worry so much about hyperstimming - for IVF hyperstimming seems to be a good result as long as you dont develop OHSS, so im sure you're doctor is making every effort to get as many mature eggs with as little risk as possible!

I have been so nervous bc my stomach has been cramping a lot since i started the meds and my E2 was a little high - i just was so scared my cycle would get cancelled!

thank you for making me feel better - i think i just need to relax and yes, i am sure they know what theya re doing - they are the professionals!

no prob, i havent done IVF but from everything i was told by my RE last cycle - the more eggies the better for IVF!!
