Looks like BBB and HD are doing it.
hmm..wonder if DH will still honor the 10% of all appliances off of $397 and if BBB will honor a 20% coupon too..
Probably not but couldn't hurt to ask.

I have a Dyson and it is not worthy of all of the hype it received. It does not work well. Everyone that I know who has one IRL has the same problem. They have an excellent marketing campaign.

Me too! We got a refurb on woot.com and we are amazed by it to the point when we clean the house, DH and I fight over who gets to do the vacuuming!

Agree 100%. Bought a Dyson Animal from an online discount site and the suction isn't as strong as my Hoover. I put the 2 vacuums next to each other in a carpeted room and the Hoover picked up all the dirt in one sweep but the Dyson needed at least 2-3 sweeps to get the deep down dirt. The Dyson is lighter so I liked it for that reason but I wasn't comfortable with replacing my Hoover with it, so I regifted it to my Mother in law..lol..

That's pretty much what every review site says about Dysons. They are better than the 10 year old vacuum that most people just replaced, so they seem awesome, but they are almost never at the top of any review charts. There are numerous vacuums that are half the price, if not even more, that have much better suction than a Dyson.

my dyson s u c k s ...and not in the good vacuum way. would not get another again. and yes, it's the suction. and gets clogged & spits out what it vacuumed up often.

I heard the same about Dyson so I did my research before buying my new vacuum and settled on the Shark Navigator Liftaway. It's 1 quarter of the price and it works so well. We have a very hairy dog and this vacuum get's up EVERYTHING.
On the wood floors, tile and rugs - it's really great. I even use the hose and attachments to get the hair off of all of the moulding I have in the house.
Check out the reviews. Shark Navigator Liftaway (the purple one - which is actually less expensive then the "Professional" one they sell)
I love it! And have had 3 other people buy it since I got it and they love it too

I like my Dyson...I don't have a ton of carpet or really do a lot of vacuuming, so it works for what I need it for, which is mostly baseboards, under stuff, dusting.

I hate my Dyson. 20% off of $400 means you're still paying $320 for a crappy vacuum cleaner.
Spend $100 on a Hoover and you'll be happier with it.
