During ER....I need BTDT help.
Will I have a tube down my throat during the ER?!? I was watching Little People...now I am afraid, not that I know if she did or not.

No, no tube!!!  At least not the time I did it.
I also had a D&E and D&C and did not have a tube those times either. I was freaked out and asked 100 times before the procedures if I'd need one!!

I am completely terrified of the ER only other time I was under ansethia (Sp) and in a hospital gown was for a scraping of my cerivix in college! I am sooo scared! But no tube is good news !

I was more afraid for the ER than any other part of IVF!! (well, physical part anyway- since what trumped ALL my fears was the idea of it not working!!) .. You should definitely communicate with the anesthesiologist that you're scared!!
I was put out 3 times.. D&E, D&C, and ER. Each time the anticipation was the worst part. When I had my ER last time the dr knew how nervous I was. He held my hand while I was getting put out and said goodnight!!

never had ER, but tube only used with general anaestaesia.(sp). With ER, i think they give you IV.

General anesthesia can be given through an IV.

The ER was really no big deal. The anesthesiologist hooked up an IV and then I was out!! It happened so quickly! NO tube down my throat. It seriously happened so fast and was nothing at all to be fearful of.

This was my experience exactly .. you may be a little lightheade after but that passes and you will be fine!!
