Dumb question about car seats
so do we install the car seat and then have it inspected or can i bring it to the place they inspect and have them install it? i told you this was a dumb question!!!

Well I use safety Chris and he has always installed mine for me. You can put it in and let them check it - and they will make any corrections for you. Or you can just bring it and they will put it in and show you what to do. Most people look like they bring it and have it installed.

we attempted to install it ourselves..we brought it to the inspection place and it was completely wrong and the person started it from scratch for us

You can go to either Carseat Chris, or Hassell Auto Body on Route 109 in West Babylon. They have three people on site who do installations and you don't need an appointment. I just call up the morning I'm going in to make sure someone is there. LOVE Them

so where is this carseat chris located? West Babylon is a little far unfortunately for me since I live in Queens... Is Carseat Chris close by?

From what I've heard there are few places that will actually do the install of the car seats for you simply to protect themselves. Heaven forbid something went wrong the liability of them doing the install would be tremendous. However, I have heard if you install your own car seats many police stations and firehouses are willing to check them to ensure you've installed them properly. You can call your local precinct to see if this is something they do. I think it varies from town to town....and if you have a permanent firehouse (meaning non-volunteer) they're more likely to check for you.

Hassell is where we always go too! They make it such a breeze!
