dumb ?
But I was wondering for those with a mailbox at the edge of your yard do you have your house # on both side the box or just on one side? I know this is a dumb ? but dh and I put our box up yesterday put the # on the side with the flag, but I noticed some have there # on both, and do you have your name on your box? sorry this is long.. Thanks.

I believe we only have it on one side, but at the top, because the number is also on the house by the front door.

Both sides. Not for the letter carrier, but when people come to our house, they can come from either direction, so it's easier for them to find the house that way.
ETA: We don't have our name displayed anywhere on the property. Those who know us know our last name. Those who don't know us don't need to know our last name unless we want them to.

they say you shouldnt display your last name on your house bc if ever were acriminal to see it , they can look up your# and call to see if you are home .
