Due Date ?

What I would like to know is when you saw the doc for the first time, did they tell you that you were not as far along as you thought you were? ex- you thought you were 7 weeks along, but the doc said you were 5 weeks, or 6 weeks?


Am I supposed to trust the online due date calculators? I entered the date of my last period and it gave me my " due date". I am supposedly 6 weeks 3 days today, and when I see my doc next week I will be exactly 7 weeks.

I know that when you go to the doc for the first time they will tell you how far along you are and provide you with a due date. But I just want to know If I really am 6 weeks right now or not?? This might mean that I won't see a heartbeat next week. Sorry for the dumb questions but I am so confused lol.

that happened to me yesterday...when i made my appointment they asked when my last period was and based on that she wanted to make me an appoinment for 8 weeks...had my appointment yesterday and the doctor said im merasuring 6 weeks and change so of course i started crying thinking something was wrong with the baby....we met in his office and i told him i new when i ovulated and he said based on the day i ovulated the baby looks good then...i still cant figure out these due dates that the computer gives you but i yesterday really freaked me out...so now i have to go back in three weeks and hopefully ill be measuring 9 weeks and everything will be ok....lots of to you beacuse i know how you feel right now

I thought I was 6 weeks but when I went he said I was 4 weeks ( I went in early because I was spotting) I didn't believe him and when I went back in 3 weeks later I was exactly where I thought I would be- 9 weeks. He was not able to give me a due date the first time we met. I think the 2nd or 3rd time I was there ( I went often early because of spotting)

Anyway then two weeks ago or so I was there for the NT scan and I was supposed to be 11.2 days but instead was measuring 11.4 days :)

I guess it changes ...??

Most due date calculators are figuring on a perfect 28-day cycle with ovulation ocurring on day 14. Most people don't have this perfecrt cycle, so these calculators are usually off. Take me for example, the month i conceived, i ovulated on cycle day 31. Had I used my lmp date to callculate a due date, i would have been way off. If you were using opks and know when you ovulated you can calculate a due date based on ovulation date and not lmp and it should be more accurate.

ahh well I hope I am able to see something next week when I go to the doc, I should be 5 weeks then? who knows, I guess I'll find out when I get there !! ahhh can't wait any longer !
