DS threw up last night... WHY?
My DS went to bed at about 7:45 p.m. last night like usual. He woke up after about an hour (not unusual - he sometimes wakes up several times a night). I tried pacifier. Still fussed. I tried turning him onto tummy (he rolls to tummy on his own on most nights now), still fussing, so I turned him back onto his back. He was still crying (just fussing - not all out crying) so I picked him up and sat with him in the glider to rock him, and as soon as I sat down, he threw up all over me and the floor. He's 6 months and has never thrown up before, so I'm very worried... I thought maybe he had to burp, and when I turned him over, it upset his stomach and caused him to throw up. DH thought maybe his room was too hot. It was the first night we had the heat on and I had his door closed. He was also wearing a sleep sack. When I went into his room when he woke up, it was very stuffy and hot in there. He cried for a few minutes after throwing up, but then seemed fine. He fussed in his crib again and kept waking up (again, not unusual) so I brought him to my bed because I was worried about him throwing up again. He slept in my bed from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and then started to fuss again so I took him to his room and rocked him for a couple of minutes and put him down in his crib and he slept until 6 a.m. He seemed fine this morning. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what could have caused this? Has anyone else's baby thrown up for no apparent reason and then been fine? He had no fever, but has been congested for several weeks (been to doc twice to check his chest and ears which are fine).
THANK YOU so much for all responses!! I'm worried about my little guy!

Re: DS threw up last night... WHY?
My son used to throw up when he was teething. No other symptoms, nothing, he would just puke.

Thank you for your response!!
I wonder if that could have been why??? I assume he IS teething even though I can't see or feel anything yet, because he is 6 months, constantly drooling, constantly chewing and biting on anything that crosses his path, and a terrrible sleeper!! I have to blame it on something!!
Thanks again!

My DD has done this before. A few things it could be. Maybe your DS had a gas bubble. If he is congested it could be from that too. When my DD was sick my ped said she might through up cause of the mucus. Its there way of getting it out. I would just keep an eye on him. I hope he is feeling better

Yes..I was going to say this. Lucas threw up the other day and I really believe it has to do with teething.

Thanks for your replies everyone!
Hopefully, it was just from teething or congestion.
