DS Got BIT again!! This is the 3rd Time

I am sitting at work hysterical crying and I dont know what to do. The daycare called to tell me that he was bit on the face and they put ice on it---but I hate this!!

I also wonder if now if kids do this to him will he pick up bad habits and do it to others??

what more/if anything can I do?

Aww I'm sorry!! I only had this happen once and there really wasn't anything I could do. I had a talk with DS about it and told him we don't bite just to make sure I reinforced the fact that that just because this other child did it, doesn't mean he should.

Thankfully he never picked it up as a habit so hopefully your DS won't either.

Does the daycare tell the parents about the child biting?
Is it the same child?

Have you met with the Director to find out what the protocol is when a child bites another child?

I would be crazed....3x!!! While I know children do things like this, I think something else needs to be done at this point.

Today it was apparently NOT the notorious repeat biter...but a new girl who entered the Toddler Room

The parents are told--but i dont know what happens after that

I told the director that there needs to be more supervision since this is ridiculous

My aunt is crazed and works near there so she is going to check on him now

i just hate working and NOT being able to protect my child

DS was bit in the face back in september. It left a semi-circle bruise on his cheek. Luckily that was the 1st and only incident. DS started to bit me shortly after and I reprimanded him everytime. I bit him back once and he didnt like it and he stopped.
