DS Fall/winter shoes
What kind / how many pairs of shoes do you buy for the season? i bought one pair of sneakers - but what else should i buy? I figured a pair of cheap snowboots. Should i get a pair of everyday boots that are warm? another pair of sneakers? TIA!

One pair of nice sneakers he wears to school and everyday. He also has crocks we use still to run to swim class. I will probably get a cheap pair of snow boots somewhere. I have bought before and one year he never needed it. Last year we got two uses out of it when we played out in the snow.
No dressy shoes unless something comes up then I may buy. For now 1 pair of sneakers and crocs is fine

DD (16 months) has a pair of sneakers, and I'll buy her a pair of boots once it gets closer to winter. That's it.

DS (almost 2) has two pairs of sneakers and one pair of nicer faux leather shoes for the fall/winter. I'll get snow boots when i can find some i like that aren't expensive.
He had more to choose from for hte summer since they were outside playing more in the dirt at daycare and getting filthy.

DS has sneakers and a pair of brown sporty shoes. Those are his pairs for everyday use. I also bought a pair of black dress shoes. And we have some hand me down snow boots.

DS Fall/winter shoes
DS is 2.5. He has a pair of sneakers and a pair of nicer shoes that he can wear for Thanksgiving & Christmas, but they are also casual enough to wear with jeans. I will eventually get snow boots too.

My kids each have a pair of sneakers, cheap snow boots (one is hand-me-down from older ds), and I always buy the same black fake leather like dress/ bowling type style shoes for them from payless. I think they are great for parties bc they pass as dress shoes, but also are like a sneaker. I get them during bogo with a coupon for like $8 a pair.

thanks! the stride rite outlet had bogo 50% so maybe i'll just stick with two pairs of sneakers and get cheap boots in a couple of months.

This is what I do - I got 2 pairs of the same sneakers since DS' foot grows slow and that's pretty much all he wears.
I have snow boots I got from Target last year that should still fit him.

I buy them as they grow out of/destroy their others.
They have addidas that still fit them from the spring and I got them a pair of converse for the fall -
I'll have to get the litte guy dress(ier) shoes, the older one's still fit.
I buy the older one cheap snowboots, the little guy gets the hand me downs.
and when it gets cold I'll buy a heavier pair of sneakers ......
I usually go by what they need, unless i see an AMAZING can't pass it up sale
