Drywall Pricing

We need to resheetrock our whole downstairs, which is 3 rooms, kitchen, 1 bathroom. 5 Rooms total and hallways.

We got a quote for material, putting up the walls and spackling for $3500.

Do you think this is a good price?

TIA

Hard to judge. What are the sizes of the rooms? Do you have cathedral ceilings? I paid $15 a board just for taping. I would expect to pay about $40-$50 a board (material, hung, spackled) from a reputable contractor.

The other thing to consider is the angles of the walls and stuff. Do you have lots of funky turns and angles in your walls? Kitchens are time-consuming b/c they have to cut around cabinets, etc.

We had our entire kitchen and 3 walls done in our house and it was well under $2,000.

If you want to get a second estimate, our guy was good. FM if you want his contact info.

I have standard 8 feet ceilings... Im not positive on this number but I believe it is about 2900 sq ft of sheetrock we need.

Kara, no funky curves just straight walls. We will also be redoing our whole kitchen so no need to cut around..
