Drug use
I have a family member that has been acting off , very moody and we are suspecting that she is using drugs. We found a small bottle/vile in our yard that we suspect is something that the drug was in and it has remaining residue.....not sure what to do. Esp since there are kids involved.. so sad.

I would stage an intervention. You can look online for tips. Sorry for her and for your family. If you suspect something, chances are you're right.

You can try. I would suggest counseling for the family. The person has to really really want to get help. You can lead a horse to water...

Before staging an intervention has anyone tried talking to her first? It should be someone who is close. Try discussing what the situation is first and see if they are willing to try getting help.

If all you have is a suspicion and you can't be sure that vial is even hers, an intervention will most likely not do any good. You don't even know what you're up against at this point.
I think if your gut is telling you something is off you're probably right, but without more info and a plan you can't do much good. I agree with a PP to try talking to her first. She will probably deny everything, but at least try. Then just keep watching and keeping track of her behavior. Try to find some type of proof.
There are counselors who specialize in working with families affected by drug addition. They can direct you to helpful resources.

I would try to go to a doctor i trusted and ask him if he can figure out for me what drug it is first. i wouldnt let that person near the kids (unless they are the parent) and then do they have a spouse that could give more info? then there would def. need to be an intervention. send to rehab probably.
