Dr's Appt Last Night - Vent!
So I had my 16w appointment last night (at 17w) and when I got there the waiting room was so crowded I had to go home and come back in an hour. So that was annoying.
Then I was asking the dr questions, and asked him if he tested for tay sachs when they ran my initial bloodwork, and he said he didn't know I was Jewish, so they didn't send me for genetic testing. DH is going today, but now I am all freaked out. It would be a lot better to know at 6 weeks than almost 18! I am sure everything is fine, but I am so anxious to know.
Just wanted to vent. On the upside, since I had to wait they gave me a sono, and they think it is a girl (which is what Impact told me)! And I get to go for my anatomy scan in a week (which seems super early), so I am glad to get that done soon.

your DH does not need to go for genetic screening unless you are a carrier for something. i had the whole Jewish panel done (over 30 different genetic issues) and was not a carrier for anything, so they said DH didn't need to go.
sorry your appt took so long, that would totally aggravate me!!
