Droping PMI
I normally don't ask questions but in regards to droping PMI...
do you think i should get an apprasil from an outside company and present that to the bank or ask the bank to send somebody out? Home sales in my complex are believe to be up, plus we done some work in our place (co-op). I just paid my mortage and put a dent in the mortage since we moved in last year and I subtracted 20% of value and we are under
Its only 90 bucks a month but that adds up
TIA

totally. I would contact the bank and ask them to send someone over to appraise the place. I wouldn't hire outside unless you felt they weren't giving a fair appraisal

Let the bank engage the appraiser. They may not accept an appraisal you requested because its a conflict of interest
