Droid X owners... what do you use for MAIL?
DH has his gmail account which works great on the droid X (refreshes constantly and notifies of email immediately), but the other Mail he has on the phone for his business email really stinks. He has to manually refresh it and only can refresh on it's own ever 15, 30 or 45 mins. He tried K-9 and that's the same... any other mail apps that work like gmail?

it is the type of mail account where he is trying to retreiveing it from.
POP3 works different then IMAP.
POP3 you have to set intervals to check/pull mail. In addtion to that, you may want to leave the mail on the server this way, all devices (computer/laptop and phone) can pull emails.
If a mail is downloaded on the computer, he won't get it on the phone because it will probally marked to delete it from the server. This is typical of POP3 accounts.
Webmail works different if you have yahoo, gmail, etc...

I set up an alternate gmail email for work and everything is forwarded there from my work email address. I also respond from gmail but others receive the email as if it was sent from my work email address. It was a year and a half ago that I set this up so I don't remember the exact steps to do so. works out great on my droid.

for my work email i use touchdown also -it is very fast - i usually know i have email becasue of my phone before it hits my computer
