Drive or LIRR?

Going to Lincoln Center tomorrow with my 2 kids 5 and 3 yo. Will be leaving around 5pm or so. Should I drive in to meet DH or take LIRR? TIA!

LIRR! Traffic at that time is a mess in both directions...and then once you're in the city it could take forever just to get over there.

LIRR. You are reverse commuting, so the train shouldn't be terribly crowded.

The traing going INTO the city at 5 pm is not really packed at all

I say train.
I would never advocate driving into NYC though

I would do the LIRR to the C and walk from Columbus Circle up to Lincoln Center. The 1/2/3 is always packed - uncomfortably so. It's not a far walk at all and the C train is usually not crowded.

LIRR -
getting into the city is going to bad enough driving - then getting all the way across town ? NO WAY !!!

Train will be empty going West @ 5:00

lirr will not be crowded going into Penn at that time. Penn itself might be, but nothing you can't handle
