Dresser from Ikea

Does anyone know about how much a dresser from IKEA would be? I just need a cheap one, its just to put the baby's clothes in until we move and get the baby's furniture. Thanks!

***Sorry, I didn't realize that they have a website. I found pricing on there.

How is the quality of their stuff?

The quality is really good! I've been using an Ikea dresser that I bought in college as DS's dresser/changing area. It has a few dings and scratches on it from moving over the years, but it serves its purpose well! DH and I figured when DS gets older, we'll buy him new furniture.

Re: Dresser from Ikea

quality is great! which dresser are you getting? i got the Malm 6-drawer chest in white. it's finished inside all the drawers and was very easy (although time-consuming) to put together. it looks much more expensive than it is, IMO.

I've had a couple of them for over 3 years and they are in perfect condition. I think I spent between one and two hundred for each

Re: Dresser from Ikea

We used IKEA for our baby furniture (minus the crib). We got a Hemnes white 3 drawer dresser and a Hensvik (sp?) white bookcase.

When we moved to our house and had more room we got DD the Hemnes larger dresser ($240 I think) and kept the bookcase.

Works great and was a great price. A bit of a pain to put it all together - but well worth it.

Re: Dresser from Ikea

From my experience, and we have many Ikea pieces including our bedroom set, the quality is horrendous and can be dangerous around children. The dressers are poorly constructed and very hard to attach to walls because the back is not wood, it's like cardboard. I can't wait to replace my set soon. All three of our dressers have imploded- drawers collapsed and can't be fixed.

Re: Dresser from Ikea

I think the quality is ok, we have the malm dressers in our room and in the babies room. It serves its purpose, probably won't last 20 years but is fine for the time being.
