Re: dree-how was last night?
Hey!!! Thanks for checking in everybody!!! Last night she only cried for 5 minutes when I first put her down. She yelped at midnight for a few seconds but then at 3am she cried out. I was watching her in the video monitor and saw she was standing holding the side rail. She keeps getting stuck like that. So I let her hang there for about 10 minutes to see if she could get herself down. Finally I helped her down and she went right to sleep. Yelped again at 5am and woke at 6am!!!! (The 12,3,and 5am are the times she used to wake up so those are ingrained pretty deep.)
Now Tonight!!! I put her in the crib and she whined for 10 seconds!!!!!!!!! That's it!! I put her to bed a smidge earlier tonight cause she got shots and was tired. I think I may continue to put her to bed somewhere b/w 6-7 from now on (sorry DH). But you now what - he'll get his wife back that way
The first night was the absolute hardest. But once I saw some results it got easier to do. I actually have hope!!!!! I'm getting closer and closer to a decent nights sleep. Now naps are another story. Still working on that. But our daytime schedule is starting to take shape. I can actually pump again cause I know when she will be eating. ( I was always afraid to pump in case she got hungry right after I pumped)
Thank you everyone for being soooo supportive and helpful. A special thanks to MrsR for all of her very detailed help. I wouldn't have had the inspiration to do this in the first place if it wasn't for her posts about CIO. And then she really helped me to fine tune the bedtime routine and feeding/nap schedule. I have like 12 different books on CIO and nothing was more useful than help from a BTDT mom. Thank you again MrsR.
I will keep evryone posted on how the next few days go....I actually feel like a real person again!!!!!!!!!

Re: dree-how was last night?
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! I am so glad last night was easier - I hope tonight will be even better!!!
When I was going through problems with Talia someone gave me all the same advice - so I am glad I can pay it forward.
Please keep me updated as the days go by - and just remember it gets easier as the days go on.
