Dr Hanauer & Dr. Braverman
I currently see Karen at All Island OB/GYN....Dr. Braverman's office...through this site I found out he will be doing only infertiliy...my sister sees him for that and loves him...even though I am TTC and praying for no problems....I want to go to a doctor recommended...close to home (east meadow) Withrop affiliated and if I have problem in the long run to help me with that too. ( I picked him and Karen through referrals from friends)
oops...sorry...please tell me what is your experience with Dr. Hanauer, where is she located, will she take care of me if there are fertility problems or would I be referrred?

Re: Dr Hanauer & Dr. Braverman
I actually see Dr. Tomack at All-Island for my PG. She is my 2nd dr. as my first [to be unnamed in posts] dr. was horrible. She is amazing...and I can use Winthrop. She's warm, caring and makes you feel very comfortable...she even made DH feel less awkward sitting in a gyno office and exam room. He is incredibly squeemish about "female" stuff. Since you are already a patient there, why don't you try to have a consult with her? That will be much easier than trying elsewhere...from what I hear, Dr. Hanauer has a waiting list as it is.
Best of luck.

Thank you.....did u also see Karen? Or did you just see Dr. Tomack? I have never met Dr. Braverman because he only saw mommies to be or women with fertility problems....but I heard great things about him as a delivery doctor...that's why I chose him

Re: Dr Hanauer & Dr. Braverman
i also live in east meadow and decided to use dr hanauer b/c of the girls on here....
i love that she is at winthrop, my sister lives on the north shore and she said north shore hospital is more stricter than wintrop which was more accomodating to requests. one of the things being that north shore requires an iv or something, yet winthrop is optional...
anyways I met with the PA daniella, got the pap, regular checkup and bloodwork to confirm pregnancy, she was great and the other people seemed really nice there
Edit to add: She is 3 blocks east of the courthouses, with a parking lot in the back.

I was a Braverman patient and now see Tomak. I think she is great and I will be delivering at Winthrop as well.

I delievered at Winthrop and I automatically received an IV of fluids no questions asked once I was admitted. I also needed to make sure that I had one full bag before I received my epidurial. Just wanted you to know that. I also think in general Winthrop is actually pretty strict when it comes to visiting not sure with the delivery because mine was pretty straight forward and rather quick.
