Dr. Brown's Electric Bottle Sterilizer
For those of you who used Dr. Brown's bottles did you use the electric bottle sterilizer or is it just as easy to wash them/put them in the dishwasher?
TIA

My ped said thers no need to sterilize, but I sterilize the bottle parts like once a week. I use the microwave steaming bags - u can use each one up to 20 times. I use the munchkin brand...

Thanks! The thing is huge and takes up way more cabinet space than I thought it would! I only want to keep it if there was a use for it.

I don't have a dishwasher so I continued to sterilize DS's bottles just for my own reassurance they were super clean. I used the babies r us brand microwave sterilizer. Super quick, super easy and super cheap!!

I have the Dr. Browns Sterilizer, I completely agree, it is huge, but like pp, sterilizing them is reassuring to me.

Do you still have to wash the parts with the straw cleaner?

Only sterilized when they were brand new before using them for the first time. No need to sterilize after that, just warm soapy water.

Re: Dr. Brown's Electric Bottle Sterilizer
We were using the Dr. Brown's microwave sterilizer and we loved it. Since we have been living at my IL's since the storm we changed to the microwavable bags to save space in MIL's kitchen.
Preferred the microwave sterilizer though... we could fit so much more in it than the bags.

Re: Dr. Brown's Electric Bottle Sterilizer
We used the microwave sterilizer for the first few months as an extra precaution, since we hand was our bottles. After 3 months, her ped said that there was no need. We just use very hot, soapy water.
