For those of you who went through IVF at AFS in the city, can you walk me through the ET. My transfer is tomorrow and I am freaking out. I like to know how the process goes to ease my nerves a bit.
its so simple theres nothing to worry about. you go in. they put you in a room. they show you the embies and tell you about the progress. i assume you already know how many you are transferring or at least have an idea. they do an external sono for placement. then they put in the catheter which really dont feel like anything. and you get to watch them go in on the sono screen. thats basically it. then you lay there for a half hour having to pee!! theres absolutely nothing to worry about good luck!
The actual transfer was really nothing compared to the egg retrieval. Its very quick and painless. It was over in a matter of minutes. You just have to lay there for a little while afterwards. There's really nothing to it Best of luck to you

This exactly. It's just like an IUI except with embryos instead of sperm.
Make sure to take the valium that was provided before the procedure. That might help you relax. Wishing you lots of luck
