Dr. appt yesterday
I had a Dr. appt yesterday at 16 weeks 2 days. They took blood for AFP - only 1 vile. My Blood pressure is fine, and she said that the ultrascreen looked great.
She tried to listen to the baby's heartbeat with the doppler but had a hard time finding it (same as last visit) so she did a quick sono and saw a strong heartbeat. The baby got noticably bigger, it moved so much I couldn't really make out anything but the spine.
The doctor did tell me that it appears that my placenta is in the front and fairly low. She said she isn't that worried about the location but that we will have to watch it. Did anyone else hear this?
I schedule my anatomy sono for 4/13. I can't wait!!!!!

Re: Dr. appt yesterday
everything sounds great!!
one of my placentas is like that, it hasn't been a problem. the only annoying thing, is that it may take you a little longer to feel the baby's kicks. i wasn't feeling kicks when most girls here were and my doctor said it was because that placenta was absorbing (blocking) the kicks. now i feel them!!

Re: Dr. appt yesterday
So glad everything went well, I'm actually going next Thursday for the AFP. We had the same problem with finding the heartbeat, and i was also told my placenta was low! Only thing he told me so far was the we needed to just watch and see, nothing to be worried about just yet!
