Dr. Appt
I am about 24-25 weeks along and everytime I have gone to the doctor I have gotten a sonogram(i had some issues early on and had to go more than normal). I just called to confirm my appt for tomorrow and the girls said no sonogram tomorrow. The last one I had was at 20 weeks which was like 4-5 weeks ago.. arn't I at the point that I should be getting one once a month or is preggo brain really got me confused???

Re: Dr. Appt
Actually, I'm always surprised at how many sonos some of the ladies here get.
I was only getting 2 sono's my entire pregnancy 12 weeks and 20 weeks.
But due to some of my bloodwork, I will be getting 3 more during my 3rd trimester. If I hadn't had that come up, I would be done with all my sono's at this point.

Urine sample, and my OB listens to the heartbeat with a doppler every visit.

Re: Dr. Appt
I am now 33 weeks along and I have had 3 sonos and I have the complications of a full previa.
I had one at 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 28 weeks, and will have another this Monday at 34 (but this one is not typical - it is so they can check the previa).
They monitor me with checkups at the office every 3-4 weeks, which will probably change to every 1-2 weeks shortly. At which they weight me, listen to the baby's heart, measure my belly, and review everything that is going on.
Nobody I know has sonos at every visit.

Re: Dr. Appt
I have sonos at just about every visit give or take and was seeing my doctor every month and most recently every 3 weeks...I'm 30 weeks. I've had a "normal" pregnancy up until recently when I was diagnosed with GD so now my doctor needs to monitor me every week and will be doing sonos a lot more frequently. It really depends on your doctor because some girls only get several while others get them a lot more frequently. I love that I get to see a lot more often even though it's only for a minute or two I wouldn't worry at all if they aren't doing one at your next visit, there will be more to come in the coming months!

Mr Dr is less is more when it comes to sonograms. I got one at 12 weeks, again at 20 weeks and I am going to ask her about the growth sono.

Re: Dr. Appt
Most doctors do not do sonos at every visit. In fact, some doctors only do the Level II sono. My last sono was at 17 weeks and I won't have another one until sometime between 32 and 34 weeks.
