double strollers
i am between two strollers - one is a side by side and the other i guess would be a front to back stroller
can anyone share the benefits/disadvantages of one vs the other?
if it matters, it would be a newborn and 15 month old

Re: double strollers
we use a side by side with my son & my nephew when we take them out places. i personally think the side by side is a pain in the butt. its awkward to maneuver & forget about trying to get through aisles or narrow doorways... its the worst!
i'm having #2 in april & we got a sit & stand front to back stroller

thanks - i was thinking about the city mini double, but didnt think about doorways when i tried it in store it seemed easy to maneuver (although that was without any kids in it).

Re: double strollers
We have the city mini double and absolutely love it! Super easy to maneuver, lightweight, and we've never had an issue fitting anywhere. That particular stroller is the width of a standard wheelchair, so it fits through all doorways. We've used it when out shopping and never had issues fitting down aisles or between clothing racks. I highly recommend it!

great - thanks for sharing!! my second choice is the city select but what i really disliked was that you had to take off the 2nd seat before you could close it. seems like it would be a pain...but i love all the seating combos which is why i am considering it.

I am looking for a double too... I like the city mini double, but even shopping with my B Agile single is a pain in clothing stores. There are areas that the single stroller just doesn't fit between the racks.

Re: double strollers
I have the city select double (front and back) and I highly recommend it. I was never a fan of the side by side since it seemed to wide to fit through aisles at stores and out and about. The select can also be used as single without the 2nd seat attached so as my dc#1 has started to out grow the stroller I don't have to keep the extra seat on.

I plan on getting both for my newborn and 18 month old. We already bought a citi mini double. I also want to get one of the graco front/back ones that can take the carseat.
