double stroller help
We are expecting #2 in April. Ds will be just over a month shy of 3 years old.
I bought the englacha junior x rider to attach to our current single stroller
but as my mom pointed out...he really can't nap in it if he get's tired unless he's leaning over the handlebar.
We were given a side by side double umbrella stroller which is great too...then we were also given a joovy caboose both for free
Now we just saw a kolcraft contours double for sale
and we really like that we can adjust the seats so the kids can face each other or either direction.
what do you think? do we go for the kolcraft contours considering what we already have? or do you think we are set? or would you get the kolcraft contours but get rid of something else? if so which would you get rid of?
ETA: not to mention i have 2 single strollers (the nice new one i was gifted at my shower for DS and a hand me down city mini) AND a silver cross pram that I just could not pass up when i saw it for sale for about $11!!!! It's getting crazy.

Re: double stroller help
I have a similar situation w/ DD being a few months shy of 3 when DS is born in March.
I have a nice single carriage w/ a seat or bassinet attachment, and cheaper single stroller which is beat nearly to death!
We are probably getting the Chicco Cortina Together double, which looks very similar to the Contours you posted and can have different seating arrangements and can take a chicco carseat as well.
I personally prefer a double that's tandem and not side by side, so if I were you, I'd probably get rid of the side by side you were given and get the Kolcraft Contours. But that is just a matter of opinion and I have no experience with a double of any kind yet.

double stroller help
How often do you think your older son would need to sleep in the stroller? Does the double umbrella stroller you have recline? Does the joovy have 2 full seats? Being that you seem to have a few options already Id consider how much sleeping your older son will be doing in a stroller and how much the kolkraft costs to see if its worth it to spend the money or if you can get by with what you have. I have gotten a lot of use out of my double because we walk a lot in the neighborhood and to stores but my older child who is recently 3 often prefers to walk now and I cannot remember the last time he napped or slept in the stroller. But that's him.

I'm not sure how it will be when he's closer to 3 but sometimes he does fall asleep in the stroller after a day at the park or the play area at the mall or when we go to the car show on friday nights bc we do alot of walking. he does prefer to walk but after a while he lags behind and gets tired.

Re: double stroller help
I'd wait and see what your needs are.
I have the Joovy x2. DS and DD loved being side by side... I can't imagine not having them that way.
From your options, I'd do the side by side umbrella when you are solo with the kids. Just one good single is our go to if you have another set of hands. Our kids are 17 months apart.
DS is now 3.5 and is almost never in a stroller. You may be able to get away without a double all together if you use a baby carrier (like ergo).
