Double BOB

anyone ever travel (air) with the double bob?
We are going to Disney and would like to take it. They don't make a stroller bag for the double. I am not sure if I should gate check or I am crazy or if I should attempt to see if I can fit it in a suitcase if I take the wheels off.
Any suggestions?

Jamie, there are a couple of stroller rental companies that rent a double BOB if you don't want to bring your own and chance it.

I have the double BOB, but on a recent trip to Disney I took a double city series which folds much better then BOB. It was fine gate checked, I think the BOB would be as well. My issues was fitting BOB in my rental car from the airport w/suitcases etc. I rented a "regular" SUV which ended up being a Ford Edge. The BOB would not have fit with our bags. If that's not a concern, I think it's fine to take it & gate check.

We've taken our BOB Duallie on planes a good dozen times. Never had an issue. The worst we had to do is take off the wheels (like I had to do in my old car anyway) in the rental (always an SUV)

I will say, though, that we rented two singles at Disneyland and it was an easier experience, but my kids were older at the time and didn't need to be strapped in at the airport.

thanks for your replies. We are renting a minivan, so I am not worried about space in the car. My kids will be almost 5 and 2 1/2.
I love love love my bob. I just wasn't sure if it was too much of a pain to gate check that big lug.
