Double amputee Olympian from South Africa Oscar Pistorious facing murder charges for shooting girlfriend
His story seemed so inspirational during the Olympics this past summer. I still can't believe this story! I'm also sad to learn there were previous domestic dispute issues as well as an arrest in 2009 against another girlfriend but charges were dropped.

I am SO upset by this. At Olympics, he seemed like a genuinely sweet spirit and an inspiring role model.
Even the other athletes were inspired by him.
What a shame.

This story is so sad & bizarre! She was so excited to spend Valentine's day with him as per her tweets. I can't even imagine what happened to make him shoot her 4 freakin times!

When they were interviewing him and telling his story at the Olympics I was cheering him on. Now this just seems to come out of left field. Crazy
