dormers
has anyone recently put a dormer on their ranch? about how much did it cost and who did you use? TIA

Based on some reasearch I've done, it looks like the average cost is $80-100 per square foot. So if you add an additional 500sq ft it will cost anywhere from $40k-50k.

40-50k would be great, so far we have been quoted betwenn120-155k!!!!

We are in the process now...the carpentry work itself which was for the dormers was in the 40K range...but by the time we are done with the entire project...it will be closer to 80K. With the new windows and new siding, along with all the other incidentals. It's not finished yet...but here are some before/after.

That is where the price seems to be from what i have heard.....unfortunately.
