Doppler? which one do you have

I was thinking of getting one, I had a lot of cramping last night and I don't go back to the dr for a few weeks. I'm sure everythink is ok but I want to buy one anyway.
Price isn't an issue

I did a search on here and found so many topics but just general questions, but I'd like to see which brand everyone actually went with, many of the topics mention that people have one but not the brand.

I got mine from BabyBeat .

You can pay extra for one-day shipping and I ordered it at like 3:00 on a Tuesday and got it at 6 PM on Wednesday. I rented it for $40 or so a month (I had a coupon code for $5/off), for 2 months, and used it until my cousin who had bought an AngelSounds doppler had her baby and let me use hers.

Since I've used both, I can compare: the heart beat is easier to find with the BabyBeat. And I liked the digital display - sometimes in the beginning the heartbeat was hard to hear, or I wasn't sure if I was hearing the right thing, but when I saw "160 bpm" on the screen, I knew everything was okay.

I had spotting several times in my first tri and all-out red bleeding in my second tri, and the dopplers really helped me to keep my sanity. I don't know what I would have done without them. I hope your cramping turns out to be nothing. It might be early enough in the day still to order from BabyBeat and get it tomorrow. Good luck! Chat Icon

Edited to add the promo code: FW10. That should give you the $5 off. If that doesn't work, try THANKYOU.

I got this one: BB200

They have 2 versions to rent. The one I got, and one with a recorder so you can connect to the computer and save the heartbeat as an MP3.

Oh, and you totally don't need a doctor's permission or prescription to rent one of these. The site says you do, but never asked me for any proof or called my doc, and like I said, they shipped it the very afternoon they got my order.

I have the sonoline b doppler. I got it off ebay for like $50. It works great, I found DS' HB at 12 weeks really easily.

Re: Doppler? which one do you have

I bought a baby beat back in early 2005 when I was preggo with #1. I used it for all three of my pregnancies, my sister used it for her pregnancies, and random pregnant people in my family used it on occasion if they were worried or just wanted to hear the heartbeat. The thing still works!

I paid a pretty penny for it back then (I believe close to $300) but it has paid off from being used so much! I cant imagine going thru a pregnancy without it.
