Dont you hate it when
Someone comes up to you says HI and yu have no idea who they are or how they know you. Then you are too embarrassed to say anything you just stand there like "uhhhh hi"??

I definitely hate when that happens. It's so embarassing. After they leave I usually turn to my DH and say I have no idea who that was.

OMG I HATE THAT!!
This summer, I was walking Main Street and this guy was sitting at Sen Restaurant and we proceeded to have a long conversation about how I now live in RI, etc..
And my mom was like, who was that?
I said. I have no idea

Don't know, was it you We were at Michaelangelos having pizza, me and Emma. Woman walks in looks right at me and says "HI". I look at her like who the heck are you and say Hi. She looked REALLY familiar. I just have no idea where I know her from

LOL- no it wasn't me. I run into that ALL the time out here though- it's probably someone that recognizes you from when we were in HS.

Happens to me all the time. I'm horrible with names, so I never remember what their name is, and sometimes I don't remember their face. I've gotten pretty good at having entire conversations with just pronouns and vague topics that could apply to anyone....  Usually, after a few sentences I can figure out how they know me, but it's a bit trickier figuring out their name.
Because of this, I'll try and sneak my own name in the conversation, in case they are having the same problem. I'll tell something about another person, and I'll quote what they said. "Really, that happened to me to. I was at work, and someone said 'Shawn, check this out!'" or something along those lines. I've noticed that some other people do that too.

no way, that';s the best... you just have to say 'oh this is my friend tara...' and USUALLY the person you can't remember wwill say 'hi I'm so & so'
I usually repeat so & so's name like i was JUST going to say it...
