It is cause of my shower - which I believe it next Saturday. My problem about it - is that my mom is in the hospital with another possibility of having surgery again. And as soon as I tell my DH, he has to call his mom and go hide in a corner and tell her - whispering - I hate that. Go outside or something.
My problem is that I think they are going to postpone it - but I don't think anyone is discussing this with my mom which ticks me off, cause she planned most of it. At least talk to her about it

 they probably all think they are doing whats best.... always happens that they don't ask the people who matter most and know whats best! maybe suggest to your dh that he "might" want to talk to your mom and you will run down and get a drink or snack (you know for that hungry baby!)
for my wedding shower, my mom was in the hospital the week before - got out on friday and had it sat.....and it was a surprise one!
how's your mom doing??? any better? hope you are taking care of yourself too!
