Donating expired food
I went through my closet and have recent expired canned soup and other things. Do places take these donations? Not sure if I should just throw them out.

I wouldn't think so. I would think there would be a liability to consider.
I'd toss them.

Nope...I wouldn't want to cause a possible health risk to people. I think placed that receive these expired donations toss them anyway.

Yep - they get tossed anyway, so you might as well just empty and then recycle the cans.
