Donating Dishwasher
I have a 3 year old dishwasher I am looking to donate. I can not find an organization to take it. I tried salvation army and Big Brothers. Salvation army said they are not accepting dishwashers they have too many and big brothers doesn't do appliances. Anyone know of a charity I can contact??

***Called Habitat for Humanity they wont come out to nassau to get it. Any other suggestions!! I literally can't give this thing away!!!

They resell it for mega cheap then take the proceeds to use for Habitat for Humanity

I bought a dishwasher from there a few weeks ago. We are redoing our kitchen next year, but our current dishwasher died on us. I just need something for a few months. They had 8 or 10 dishwashers there, and they will always accept more.

Or, just put it on the curb. It won't make it to the dump. After I replaced my broken dishwasher with the used one from Restore, I put the old one at the curb. It was gone within two hours....

We use a company called Green Demolitions. Here is a link to their website
What I love is the material is recycled and proceeds go to charitable causes. I don't know if they'll pick up one piece, but maybe if they are in the area for another job... it might be worth a call.
