Doing 1st bday pics and cake smash questions

I have a photographer coming to the house to do 1st bday pics and cake smash. She said it was 1 hour sitting and she would provide the props. Is there anything i should buy? How many outfits did you use? And, christmas is coming - should i throw him in a christmasy outfit and santa hat during this shoot or wait for another day?
Last question - the woman who is shooting owns her own business. She is charging for the photo cd and travel time. Do i tip? Thanks!

3 outfit changes for my dd would have been too much. 2 outfits was a lot for her but we got some great pics. I'd personally do Christmas seperate. I don't tip photographers unless its for an occasion.

Besides the outfit and cake I didn't buy anything else. Have fun!!

I would stick to one outfit for before the cake smash and another for the cake. dont know how much time you will have with only 1 hour to do more outfit changes, cleanup etc.
aside from the cake you should be all set

Typically 1 reg outfit and 1 smash outfit. Sometimes you can get in a third outfit but it all depends on the baby.

Ask the photographer if he/she can accommodate the holiday outfit if things are going smoothly. Photographers with experience will know how to time manage and figure out if they can get three outfits in typically before a meltdown happens. You do not have to tip but if you feel they provided an excellent service over then your exceptions then feel free to do so. I tip my hairdresser who owns the salon, i tipped my plumber who also checked out a drain on top of the other stuff I asked at no extra charge, etc.
