Doggie places?

Now with the cool weather and less people at parks do you take your dog to the parks that don't allow dogs?
I live one block away from a park/beach but no dogs allowed, however, I see SO MANY dogs walking through with their owners...Would you think it is alright, I always walk her down to the entrance but never through, I would love to take her to the water. I have seen so many dogs there I thought it was a doggie beach but they posted a sign about a month ago.

Re: Doggie places?

It really depends on where it is.
I will take Misty to Sore Thumb or Overlook Beach now, but never Jones Beach or Robert Moses.
Some places allow dogs after Labor day, but I would definitely talk to some of the people you see on the beach now. Find out if the police have bothered them or other neighbors.

I tend not to take the dog if there is any sign I'm going to have a problem.

MACY'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK kidding.....I've taken my dog to beaches in the winter, off season, that allow dogs. I'd ask someone before going where it is posted "No Dogs Allowed".

We take Otis anyway in the winter and in the summer at night some people have stuff to say we just smile and say ok thanks for the information. He is leashed we are responsible I don't see anything wrong with it.
