Dog is constipated...

Lexy has been trying to poop all day long and nothing is coming out. I am hoping she didn;t eat something she shouldn;t have on Christmas. This has never happened before to her. I am going to call the vet tomorrow if she doesn't go. She isn't eating and I am trying to encourage the water but she isn't interested. Anyone have any reccommendations that I can do or give her to help her along. I don't want to give her people laxatives becuase I am scared it will do more harm! TIA!

maybe soak her behind in some warm water for a bit. this is what we did with a westie when she overdosed on cheese and it was all stuck!

As far as getting her to drink -- add some chicken or beef brother to the water

Maybe try some fruit to help along the movement ...we give our dog apples and he loves them
