Does your toddler take their vitamin?
We had switched to a chewable vitamin a few months back. DS (will be 3 in March) would eat them sometimes but now he spits them out or just refuses. Dr. said a Flinstone chewable isn't enough, he needs the prescription one. Anyone else have issues with this?

DD will not eat any chewables or gummies, so she does not take any vitamin.

DS hated the liquid, but loves the chewable. We call it "purple candy" and he is always asking for it!

They love the chewable vitamins, they ask for them with every meal and I always have to tell them they can only have them once a day.

DS is only 17m but loves the liquid vitamins. He gets them right after dinner every night and says, "yummmmm!"

DD#1 had a problem taking the chewables. I asked the pediatrician if we could switch to the flintstones chewables but it seems not enough flouride in those. I began cutting them into four's and have her eat them with dinner and she did much better with them. Now she can eat the full vitamin with no problem (3.5 yrs)
Our pediatrician said she could continue with the liquid vitamins for awhile longer but she finally got the hang of the chewables so I never switched her

I'm sure your doctor is saying that Flinstones aren't enough because the lack of fluoride. But I will never give my children fluoride so it doesn't matter to me. Gummies don't have iron, so we stick to the solid chewables and gummy vitamin d's as a supplement.

What about sticking with the liquid for now?
When the ped gave us the script for the chewable at 2yo I asked if he wouldnt take it should I stick with the liquid and she said that would be fine.

I used to put the liquid in his baby food but he doesn't eat it anymore, not even applesauce. Maybe I should put it in his sippy cup, but if he doesn't drink his whole glass, he won't get the full vitamin. Grrr, so frustrating.
