does your ped ok sunscreen for 3 month old

I'm going to call tomorrow morning and ask, but just wondering if your ped okayed suncreen for under 6 month old .. DS is 3m

Mine didn't.... but I put it on her anyway. IMO it's better to have it on than to have a sunburned NB, KWIM?

mine did, she said, "its not recommended, I prefer the shade, but if you are going to be out in the sun for a long time, a little sunblock is better than a sunburned infant."

Mine did too. We were going to Florida and our pedi recommended we use it. Just not on his hands or feet. Because he puts them in his mouth. And not near his eyes...

Nope. Ped recommended 6 months and up for sunscreen. He wanted both DDs in the shade until then.

mine has been ok with it since he been born & he said to put it on mis head even if he has a hat to. my DS is 5 mths old & has been wearing it since he was about 3 mths better to be safe than sorry my Peds said.
