Does your kitchen have a theme?

do you decorate based on a theme? or just by color?

Re: Does your kitchen have a theme?

I chose colors that coordinated with my den because they are open to each other but then I added a few little "theme" things to the kitchen because it looked so cute. I added a nice framed pic of a coffee mug with coffee beans, my table centerpiece is a glass hurricane filled with hazelnut coffee beans and an unscented candle, and a coffee cup silhouette on another wall. Not a lot of of themed things but just enough to make the kitchen cute and add a little style. Chat Icon

Re: Does your kitchen have a theme?

I find in my "old age" years, I'm attracted to red!!! I remember how a friend decorated her kitchen with red accents, and it was so warm and inviting!!! She had red/white gingham checked curtains, and she served coffee in red pedestal coffee mugs!!!! I loved it!!!! Once we install new neutral floor covering in our kitchen, I might try red accents. I kinda like a country theme, but I don't like cluttery country, like I've seen in some Country Decor Magazines. Mary

Re: Does your kitchen have a theme?

I think I have a country theme going on - leaning more towards french country...

My kitchen is a warm orange with mustard yellow accents, floral curtains, vintage fruit canisters, and lots of rooster decor.

Re: Does your kitchen have a theme?

vineyard/grape theme... my hand towels and pot holders, a decoration my niece made for the counter which is a glass candle holder with grapes painted on them, spoonrest, salt and pepper shakers, hot plate... i think that's it. just small "accents" that also have the color scheme with our kitchen.

i don't know how i'll decorate when we renovate.
