Does your Dr. tell you not to cross your legs?
I have a habit of always crossing my legs and everytime we are at the Dr.'s office, he's always like "Don't cross your legs!" Does anyone know why?

I heard from someone that it can cause varicose veins...not sure how true it is, but I stopped just in case...

Re: Does your Dr. tell you not to cross your legs?
My Dr hasn't but friends and family have. They said it can cause clots/veracose (sp?) veins.
I don't usually do it, well can't do it now, belly's in the way. I do on occassion sit with one leg up under my buy, but it's when my lower back is very sore.

Yes - this older woman once saw me crossing my legs, and showed me the veins in her legs and told me she got them from crossing her legs.... But I cant stop - its the most comf. way for me to sit....

yes, I was told this too. It has to do with circulation and pressure(so I was told).
