Does this price sound right for refinishing stairs?

I called up a place that is very recommended around here - and they gave me a quote over the phone.

-sand, stain, and coat a normal-sized staircase.

the quote was for $300. They said it's their standard price for doing a staircase. It will take 3 days.

It just sounds so much lower than what I had anticipated.

Unless he meant 300/a day? I will be calling back anyway, but wanted to hear your
thoughts?

I think that sounds right. Refinishing the floors isnt crazy $$.

I think I paid $1,200 for a staircase, living room, dining room and hallway. (refinish and stain)

I think it's somewhere around $2-3 per sq. foot. So, it sounds about right. I would ask what they charge per sq. foot and you'll know for sure! Stairs might be a little more labor intensive though....

sound about right, it cost me about 1400 to refinish stairs with 2 landings, 4 bedrooms and a hallway.... took 3 days of work, make sure you get the written estimate though so there are no surprises.
