Does the worry every stop?
I keep waiting to reach a new milestone and hope that it gets easier. First it was did it work? Then it was the poas, then the beta, then the 2nd beta, then the heartbeat, etc... Now it's the nuchal test. And the fact that Im starting to feel better is making me worry that something might be wrong Does it get easier? I feel so jaded from our previous loss and experience? I just want to be excited... but Im scared somethings going to go wrong

Re: Does the worry every stop?
I worried all the time at the beginning. I promise, it does get better, and I'm an anxious person to begin with. I think my constant worry decreased somewhere between the nuchal test and the 16 week sono. Getting through the first trimester helps. I still have moments of panic when I don't feel the baby a lot, and I think something's wrong. DH always reassures me that everything is fine, and he's always right (thank g-d!). I'm 29 weeks today, and I definitely spend more time thinking about the baby that I'm going to have soon than I do worrying. It really does get better.

Re: Does the worry every stop?
I'm still worrying at 7 weeks. What is that test! The NT at 12 weeks? Now I'm worrying that they are still developing for the 8 week sono next week. Then I'll worry til my first official OB apt. Then 12 weeks. Then 29, then.... Lol
I know IF ruins things but I also know non IF girls also worry. I think we worry because we know more of what can go wrong.

Re: Does the worry every stop?
I really, really hope so because I feel like all I do is worry!!! I'm only 6 weeks and I worry from appointment to appointment. They saw a very, very, very faint HB mylast appointment. Now I';m so worried they wont see one next appt. I'm worried they should have seen a stronger HB. I'm just so worried about everything

Re: Does the worry every stop?
i finally stopped worrying around 20w once i was able to feel the baby. then at 24w when i reached viability, i really started to believe i would go home with a baby..
9 weeks later she was here!!!
IMO it does get easier but i am not really a nervous person. i really believe (and ive seen it play out IRL) that the way you are pregnant transcends to the attitude of the baby, especially in the newborn stage. nervous women have more colicky babies. it's by no means an exact science, but i have seen it play out IRL like clockwork. IMO do whatever you need to do to relax and limit anxiety as much as possible because the baby feels it!! i know in some cases saying things like that just cause MORE anxiety, but in the end, in the womb or out, your baby will learn the most from you and your DH!!

if you are only 6 weeks you shouldn't have even had a sono looking for a heartbeat yet. its not expected to see a heartbeat until AT LEAST 6w but def by 7w. good luck!!

Re: Does the worry every stop?
when i was pregnant and went to see my high risk dr i begged him for a sono bc i didn't have one in a week and had prior miscarriages
he did a quick sono after i said the same exact words as the title of your post. His answer to me was: no not even when they are married and have kids of their own.
it is completely normal to worry - u worry about implantation, beta, heartbeat, making it out of the first trimester, labor, delivery, if they are breathing when they are sleeping LOL it never ends. 100% normal.
try to enjoy being pregnant and congratulations!!!

thank you for easing my mind!! I just was worried b/c I have seen posts on here where women see the heartbeat at 5 weeks something days and 6 weeks. The dr. and nurse weren't worried at all so I guess I shouldn't be.
Now I'm just worried about next week's sono!

Re: Does the worry every stop?
Jax: I think you're right about feeling better once the 1st trimester is over. I know Ill feel better after the NT and first tri is over. There's no real reason to think anything's wrong... Its just my nature. FW: Ive started meditation again because its good for the babies. The last thing in the world we need are two colicky babies! I always thought about how a mom's attitude throughout pregnancy can impact the babies... so I guess it's time I start taking my own advice and get over myself. lol MissFab: to ease your mind, I think seeing a faint heartbeat that early is totally normal. Many women dont even see a heartbeat at that point. But as you can see, I totally understand
Thanks for all the advice ladies. Im trying one day at a time. I know that even girls without IF worry. My best friend is also pg (it was an oops ) but she worries about the exact same things.
The support really means a lot to me. And it's so helpful. Thanks girls!!

Re: Does the worry every stop?
I hear you, I worry every day and I am almost 20 weeks! I guess I was spoiled in the beginning when I got to see my LO each week at the RE, then went to monthly OB appointments after that. I have my Level 2 on Tuesday and can't wait to see LO again and to find out if its a boy or girl!
