Does the hcg trigger cause spotting? - UPDATE

Or an abnormaly short luteal phase?

I got my tigger last monday, so 8 days ago. I noticed some pink when I wiped this morning (sorry TMI) and when I just went to the bathroom I had some spotting on my underwear. I have also had some cramping but I thought it was either the metformin or my IBS acting up.

Has anyone else experienced this?


UPDATE-

Sorry for all this TMI, but I went to the bathroom again and the bleeding was heavier. Not bright red like AF but pink and brown. I am also feeling crampy and nauseous like AF is coming. Although I have been kind of constipaed the past few days, so that could be causing cramping. I decided to call my RE office because I don't understand why I would be getting AF only 7 days after ovulating.
They want me to come in tomorrow to test my progesterone levels, they said I might need a supplement.

I used to get spotting prior to all the meds i've been. since then I haven't experienced any spotting. I have had the HCG before and didn't experience any spotting. Everyone is different though.

Could be implantation bleeding? I never had spotting after my triggers.
