Does the glucose drink make you feel sick?

I'm already feeling woozier because of the heat and the only thing that helps me is lots of water/juice/smoothie and eating, eating, eating.

So I'm imagining between that and having to drink the glucose, that I'm going to feel pretty off...and should line up a ride to the dr.

Can you share your experiences, please?

- especially if you tend to be sensitive to stuff like this (like me!)

I have a very sensitive stomach and I was ok. I got the orange one and it tasted like orange soda. I drove myself straight to work after.

I haven't done it this pregnancy yet, but my first pregnancy I had no issues with it at all. But by the time I did the screening, my m/s was gone that pregnancy. This time, I'm still nauseous now at 25 weeks so we'll have to see how it goes in a few weeks (I'm doing mine at 27 w 6 d -- three weeks from Friday).

Honestly I spent the entire time in the waiting room feeling like I was going to vomit. I'm usually not sensitive to stuff like that so I was surprised. I wound up having GD, so maybe that had something to do with it. Good luck!

I had to do the one hour twice and the 3 hour during my first pregnancy so I drank that orange drink 3 times, as long as it's ice cold and you drink it quickly with a straw it's not so bad, it's like flat orange soda.

I don't' have a sensitive stomach and had no morning sickness. Last pg with the 1 hour I was fine. I didn't mind the taste of the drink at all and still don't understand what people make such a big deal about. It reminded me of slightly sweeter than normal flat orange soda. I felt fine and failed.

The 3 hour was not so good but that was my fault. I didn't get there till noon (REALLY bad idea, not sure what I was thinking), hadn't eaten all day and the "3 hour" test was really over 4 hours total. I was shaking like a leaf and felt like I was going to literally pass out by the end. I was alone so I had to drive myself home and was actually very scared while doing so. I was barely able to walk into my house once I got home at almost 5pm after not having eaten all day. I failed that test too but I think the reason I felt so so awful was becuase I did the test so late in the day and had no food for so long.

I literally gag at the thought of things like that so I was very surprised that I had absolutely no issues with it. The doctors office has them ice cold and I drank the orange one as they say the red one is much much worse. I took large gulps of it and finished it rather quickly.

It made me nauseous... I was also extremely tired and dizzy the rest of the day. It didn't taste so bad but sweet stuff made me feel gross when I was pregnant. The 3 hr test made me sick twice. I ended up taking another type of test..

I was fine. The drink was like one of those quarter waters. Just think how much sugar is in koolaid.

Better safe than sorry as I'm having twins & already slowing down....my dad volunteered to take me, then out for omelettes!

No issues whatsoever. It is a small cup (8oz) cup of orange drink (tastes like orange soda/gatorade).

Last pregnancy I had to do the test 3x b/c I kept throwing it up

I was totally fine when I drank the drink. I chugged it and waited in the cool air conditioning. I made sure to have breakfast waiting after the test because I knew I would be hungry at 8am.

I was able to walk to the train station and go straight to work.
