Does Stony Brook OB do the anatomy scan in office
I just switched there at 16 weeks and saw Dr. O'Keefe. He said I'd be getting an ultrasound at my next appointment in 3 weeks. Is this the anatomy scan? I should have asked then but forgot. I want DH to come to this one appointment so I need to know if he has to take off of work.

I'd say that at 19 weeks it is most likely your anatomy scan.

I had the anatomy scan at 20 weeks--I'd assume that it was the big one! My FH came to that one, it was great! If you are unsure, just give them a call!

Yes..just had mine last week in the Bohemia office..they are sending me for the level 2..that one is out of office..

Yes they do it in office and that would be at your next appointment. ( 20 week). Usually they bring you back for your sono first then after that they will bring you into a room to see the doctor, or they will bring you back to waiting room till a room opens to see doctor. Sono tech does sono not doctor.
I only go to Setauket office

That's great that they do it in the office now!!! I have Dr. O'Keefe and with my DS in 2011 I had to go somewhere else for the Anatomy Scan only.

That's great that they do it in the office now!!! I have Dr. O'Keefe and with my DS in 2011 I had to go somewhere else for the Anatomy Scan only.
I switched to this practice with my younger DS. He was born in March 2012. So I started going there around October. I had my 20 week sono done at my old office but at soon as I switched at 23 weeks they did another sono at stony brook office to check baby again. Wonder when they started doing them then since you where preggo in 2011 too. I heard they never used to do 12 week NT sono in office but just started doing them.
My third baby I should know this but there is a difference between an Anatomy Scan and level 2 sono? I have only had one sono done at 20 week with both pregnancies. I saw someone posted they had Anatomy sono in office but level 2 is somewhere else.

I believe the only difference between the two is the equipment…I think getting the level 2 is a higher resolution, and you can see things more clearer…Thats at least what my dr told me..

Okay that makes sense. My old office had such a great high quality Sono machine. So I never had to go anywhere else to get any Sonos. This office machine is almost as good so they for sure do it all in Setauket office.

I know with twins they wanted me to go to stony brook hospital clinic because they have better equipment. But for one baby they usually do them in the office
