Does it seem like the Gerber Photo Search...
is just a popularity contest?
I mean I see people creating events and all kinds of crazy things.
That being said...
my son only has like 22 votes. Obviously not cute nor a winner.

I gave up and stopped asking people to vote for DD.
My best friend and her boyfriend and his sister post multiple times a day begging for votes for her daughter. It's getting old.

Most of the posts on FB from parent friends of mine are to vote for this thing or that thing to be honest. One friend in particular is ALWAYS begging you to vote for her DD so they can win things... and the thing is.. it's her friends site!! Of course she always wins.
I don't usually bother. They all seem somewhat like popularity contests in a way. Esp when you can vote multiple times.

I think for the grand prize- a panel of judges will pick- the voting is to win an ipad 2 and to be featured on gerber.com ... if im not mistaken...

Yep, the photo search winner has nothing to do with the voting. It's a great lead generating contest.

I personally HATE all contests that are based on votes & wont enter my children in them.
It should be called,"who's mommy has the most internet friends"
instead of
"cutest baby" etc
Only if a panel of judges is voting, do I consider it.

DD only has like 3 votes.  I mentioned voting for her on here, but I even stopped voting on the 2nd day myself because in reality, it is a popularity contest, (at least for the ipad), and we know nobody! I'm just waiting for my daughter to be noticed in the 126K other pics from the judges!
I only entered because I NEVER do these things and I thought hey, you never know!
