Does it seem like rates are going back down?

I haven't checked in a few days, but I thought when I looked last week at my bank, it was 5.875, today 5.375. Are we on the decline, or temporary dip?

We just met with our mortgage broker on Monday and he said even he's unsure - they're just watching it for now. He didn't seem to think we'd see that extreme low of 4.5 but that it could go back down to 5.

Oooh I hope so too, as we are trying to refi.

Although historically, the rates tend to trend higher during the summer. So I hope this is not just a temporary dip. There are so many factors involved.

We did it!

We bought two points to get ourselves down to 5 which is where we wanted to be with our loan so we pulled the trigger and locked. It's a huge savings from our current rate!

To all of those still waiting it out to lock....Chat Icon for you that they will just continue to dip! Chat Icon
