Does it make you feel good when you give "the better gift"
than the one you received, or does it make you upset/other negative emotion?
just a little something I thought about today.... won't mention who.... 
but I personally feel GREAT when I know I have given the "better gift" 
silly - I know, but I am curious how others feel

If I give a not as good gift as I received I would feel embarrased. I generally hope that I give a good gift and that the person receiving it likes it.
