Does everyone get a Level II?
I had gone in for my level II a week ago, and I was talking to my boss about it.
She told me I was high risk because they only give you a level II if high risk.
She had one baby via fertility treatments 5 years ago, and she said that is why she had a level II, and she had one baby without fertility treatments 10 years ago and had no level II.
My dr. never said anything about being high risk - I just thought eveyone got them.

Re: Does everyone get a Level II?
I am pretty sure everyone o here has had one at 20 weeks. Maybe a couple of years ago they only had them for high risk patients but I am almost positive they are routine for everyone now.
I am not high risk and I just had mine

Re: Does everyone get a Level II?
I am not high risk and mine is on Wednesday.
Honestly, I think many doctors run as many tests as they possibly can to reduce their own liability. People are very law-suit happy nowadays.
OB/GYNs have some of the highest rates of malpractice insurance around. They need to cover themselves.

I am not high risk and had a level II. I am pretty sure almost every Dr. does them.

Re: Does everyone get a Level II?
I think it is a pretty standard test these days. I had one and I'm not high risk or anything.
