does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I'll be 33 weeks on Friday and I'm yet to have any Braxton Hicks. Is it possible to not really have them and then just go into labor?

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I have not, at least that i know of. Even when i am on the non stress tests and they are showing contractions i don't feel them either. My whole belly is hard so when people tell me your whole belly gets hard it does not make sense to me.

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I had them with Caiden and this PG. I didn't get them until around week 34-35 with Caiden and I've been having them since week 26 this time around. They are very uncomfortable to me. They usually take my breath away and they give you a tight pressure feeling. Also, for me, when I have them, each one doesn't last long, and usually one part of my belly gets VERY hard and bulges out and looks deformed. After them the belly relaxes again and goes back to normal. I have yet to figure out why you get the bulges in certain areas and what it actually is, but that's what happens with me. If you don't get them you're lucky because the further along you get the more uncomfortable they are.

I didn't get them when I was pregnant with DD, and haven't got them yet with this pregnancy either - I am 33 weeks.

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I don't think I really ever had them either. I was induced at 38 weeks.

Wow..I wonder if this is what I have been having! I just figured DD was moving around. For a moment...my belly gets hard in 1 particular area...I'm not really in pain..just a little uncomfortable...then, in a minute or two or three...I seem to be fine!

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I don't get them too often, but I do get them.
At 27 weeks, one night I was getting them really bad. I had about 3 an hour. I thought i was going into pre-term labor, it was so scary. I was reading all my books to make sure it wasn't labor. It was so uncomfortable. After about 4 hours, it stopped and I was able to finaly get to sleep. Luckily, I haven't had them like that again.

I've been having them for a few weeks now. It's a very strange sensation and uncomfortable.

I don't get them that often, although I had them last night, about 3 in one hour.

I've been getting them since 18 weeks! Stay hydrated and take care of yourself and they may never happen...

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I never had them and actually didn't feel any contractions until I was 5cm dilated and had to be induced.

Re: does everyone experiene Braxton Hicks?
I had them intermittently from the time I was 20wks on... I had them pretty bad at about 25wks with a tinged discharge and had to go to the ER, I was terrified that Dominic was coming early. They put me on a drip and monitored me for about 3-4 hrs to make sure I was ok and everything turned out fine.
They tend to get worse if you are dehydrated. Try drinking a lot of water. You need a considerably higher amount of H2O when you are PG.
