Does anyones dog...
walk around, crying with a bone or a treat in their mouth after they get one? My dog, who is 2 1/2 years, still does this! He has the bone/treat in his mouth and runs around my house crying for about 20 minutes! Then finds a spot to lay down and eat the bone! What does this mean???

Yes, Loki (my Shiba Inu) does this. He is looking for a place to hide it. I find that if we ignore him and look away he will hide it somewhere and then goes on his merry way.

Yes Katie does this. Annie used to do this and then hide whatever it was. I used to find rawhides under my pillows. Katie is a piggy so she doesn't hide it she eats it.

Re: Does anyones dog...
Yup, one of mine does that too. If we don't make her sit down and eat it, she'll eventually hide it and guard it like someone's trying to steal it. Sometimes she even rubs her nose on the ground like she's trying to bury it and cover it up with dirt - except she's in the house

Denver does this all the time. When he was a puppy, it freaked me out until I realized that if I don't look at him, he hides it and runs

Teemu does this - but only with bigger bones, busy bones or the nyla bones. No whining when I give him small treats. I hate it. He walks through the house whimpering looking for the right spot to eat it. Then he loves it! Goober!

Ali will walk around showing her bone (or toys, she does it with new toys too) for like 10 minutes, showing it to us and also looking for somewhere to hide it. She doesn't cry or do it with little treats though

My Evee who is also a Shiba does this very thing too. She then goes and hides it under her blanket for later. I am glad i saw that other dogs do that too.
